In My Mailbox is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren.
Participants are encouraged to talk about anything bookish they received during the week.
This week, I bought:
The Near Witch, by Victoria Schwab
I've talked a bit about my hopes for this book in my post on August Releases. Before I bought it, I was a little bit (okay, kind of a lot) apprehensive, but now that I've received it, I can't wait to start it. I'm fully ready to dive into the creepiness and suspense. I might wait a bit to start though, since I want to be able to read uninterrupted for an entire afternoon and evening, and if I don't get to it this week, I wont get the chance to have uninterrupted reading time unless it's after everyone else is in bed. Apparently this is a book I will not want to put down.
The Lost Saint, by Bree Despain
I read The Dark Divine last week, and really liked it (review to come). It didn't end on a cliffhanger, but I wanted more of Grace and Daniel, so I bought The Lost Saint. I also pre-ordered the third book in the trilogy (series?), called The Savage Grace. I've heard The Lost Saint is a rollercoaster of a book. I'm excited to start it. On another note, the covers for The Dark Divine and The Lost Saint are amazing. I can't wait for the cover reveal of The Savage Grace.
